Welcome Little Learners:

Miss. Nichelle opens the door to welcome each child and their family into the classroom!. There are 16 learning centers set up around the room for children to engage in right away for an easy drop-off. If your child has a hard time with you leaving we are ready to help when needed! Children gain Independence, Parent Separation, and Self Confidence Skills!

 

*11:00 am - 12:00 pm*

Little Explorers & Artists Time:

Children explore through a variety of skill building learning centers throughout the classroom that cover all areas of development along with a creative art project. There is one activity in each center that goes with our Letters, Theme, or Basic concept of the week. All center activities change weekly so children stay interested in what we are learning about, and look forward to what's coming next! Children gain Social, Emotional, Cooperative Play, and Artistic Skills!  

 

*12:00 am - 12:20 pm*

Little Helpers & Learning Time:

Children work together to clean up center activities and sit on their carpet spot ready to listen and learn about what we are focusing on for the week. Learning Time consists of taking roll, Pledge of Allegiance, calendar, sounding out letters of the week, and discussing the theme of the week! Children gain Teamwork, Teacher Direction, and Participation Skills!

 

  *12:20 pm - 1:00 pm*

Little Lunch Bunch & Readers Time:

At the end of Learning Time, we do stretching exercises to keep our bodies healthy and strong before getting ready for lunch. Teachers help children set up their picnic spot. When done eating hands are cleaned, they put their lunch away, and they choose books to look at with friends! 

Parents provide lunch, drink, and a small blanket to sit on.

Children gain Good Manners, Personal space, and Respect For Books Skills!

 

*1:00 pm - 1:15 pm*

Little Movers & Shakers Time:

Children get the wiggles out with Fun Physical Fitness Activities such as playing a Group Game, Making Music with a Musical Instrument, or Dancing with a Movement Manipulative around the classroom! This is a great way to get their energy out in a musical way after sitting and eating lunch. Children gain Taking Turns, Music Appreciation, and Gross Motor Skills!

*1:15 pm - 1:45 pm*

Little Station Rotation Time: 

 All children are together during the first part of our day and at this time they separate into three peer groups. Each group rotates in three stations directed by a Teacher every 10 minutes. Stations: Worksheet Station- focusing on writing letters of the week, Learning Station- focusing on expanding on the theme of the week, and Special Activity Station focusing on Show & Tell, or Spirit Day!

Children gain Cognitive, Public Speaking, and Self Esteem Skills!

*1:45 pm - 1:55 pm*

Little Story & Song Time:

Children listen to a story and answer questions about the book along with learning a song that goes with the weekly theme. Children gain Listening, Reading Comprehension, and Memory Skills!

 

*1:55 pm - 2:00 pm*

Goodbye Little Learners:

We end our class day by reviewing daily activities and children tell me their favorite activity! When the classroom door opens each child receives a stamp before they say hello to their family.

Children gain Group Discussion and Safety Skills!
